A little about me…

I am a qualified teacher with 10 years’ experience across all of KeyStage 2.
Prior to this, I was an Emotional Literacy Support Assistant (ELSA) and a Teaching Assistant for 6 years whilst studying for my degree - including one year supporting children at a Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) school.
The foundations of my practise rely heavily on the formation of mutually respectful and trusting relationships with my students. With a professionally empathetic and nurturing approach, I provide a positive, trusting and safe learning environment suitable to each individual student’s needs.
My individual and tailored support allows learners to progress at their own pace with each achievement being celebrated, however small. I can identify gaps in knowledge and help fill them, ensuring a better understanding and subsequently, increased confidence.
I have extensive experience working with a broad range of Special Educational Needs including dyslexia, autism, ADHD, dyscalculia and social and emotional development difficulties, and passionately believe that everyone has the capacity to reach their full potential.
In my spare time you can find me pounding the streets in my running shoes, sitting with my nose buried deep in a book, listening to my favourite tunes, walking our beautiful labrador, meeting up with friends and family and at certain times of the year, jetting off to explore another part of our wonderful world!
